MUPAS

How MUPAS works

MUPAS is a support and wellness service built on scientific methods and research. It is for people who have seen, felt or lived through something they cannot explain, and who want it taken seriously. This page is what happens from the moment you tell us.

1. You tell us what happened. In your own words, with the time as you know it: exact, approximate, or "sometime that night". You can do this before you have an account; it takes about three minutes.

2. You get a comparison back. Usually by the next morning, a report compares what you told us with what other experiencers have told us. It is not a diagnosis and does not claim to be.

3. Your account keeps your record. Every entry is kept with the time you gave it, private by default. You decide what, if anything, is shared.

4. Your instruments' readings sit beside it. If you have a MUPAS instrument, or use your phone as one, the portal shows what it recorded around each entry, with the instrument's own typical range for that hour shaded behind the line. A change reads as a change, not as a guess. The instruments

5. The conditions at that moment are kept too. When you write an entry soon after it happened, from an instrument that knows where it is, the portal keeps what was in the sky and on the ground at the time: aircraft nearby, satellites overhead, earthquakes, weather. No location is stored with it. Nothing is ruled in or out; it is shown, and you decide.

6. There are people who have been there. Peer Support Specialists are experiencers themselves. Their training and their guidelines are stated on their profiles, and every profile is reviewed by a person before it is listed. You can message one, or book a session.

7. There is an assistant that answers only from records. Ask it a question and it looks through MUPAS records and cites what it used. When it has nothing to go on, it says so.

8. There is a reading room. MUPAS reads the released government documents on these experiences one at a time and publishes each reading: what the document is, what it claims, what its evidence is, where it is weaker than it reads, and what a home instrument could and could not have shown. How this is run. What you write is kept without your name; members know each other by screen name only. Your readings are yours. There are Community Guidelines, and everyone agrees to them. The privacy notice and the terms say what is kept, for how long, and what you can delete; they are short. Privacy notice Terms Community Guidelines
